HVAC Career
Rising energy costs coupled with increased awareness of environmental issues could potentially mean more work for qualified HVAC technicians to modernize and retrofit existing systems. Online and campus-based HVAC programs could focus on the fundamentals of HVAC repair and maintenance. Courses often cover the electrical and mechanical components that are the tools of the trade: compressors, ducts, fans, motors, pipes, pumps, switches, and thermostats. Programs often last one year, on average, depending on course load.
