Paralegal Career

Paralegal Career

To coin a phrase, behind every great lawyer is a great paralegal. Also called legal assistants, paralegals form the very backbone of our legal system. They perform many of the same tasks as lawyers such as performing legal research, conducting client interviews, drafting and analyzing legal documents, and taking notes at legal proceedings. Aspiring paralegals can earn an associate's degree in paralegal studies. Some four-year colleges and universities also offer degree programs in paralegal studies. It is also possible to pursue a career with a certificate in paralegal studies if you have other qualifications.
